Vellitherai - "Silver Screen" - is a story set against a backdrop of the Tamil movie industry. Almost like a movie in a movie, it is a story about all the blacks, whites and greys in the business, shown by picking a few characters who can be found in every regional film industry - the struggling good guy, the unscrupulous baddie, the reluctant actress, a good samaritan, all the ups, downs and sideways of living a life surrounded by drama, which is very real.
